What is America's True Form of Government?

The word "democracy" is not found in the U.S. constitution, nor is it in any state's constitution. Majority rule means minorities suffer.
This explains the difference between a true democracy and a constitutional republic of which we have in the U.S.
Getting rid of the electoral vote in favor of a majority vote in our elections means getting rid of "the Republic for which we stand"!
With a true democracy, majority rules, however, having a republic means more equal representation for minority groups.
The only choices we are left with in the end are a republic (ruled by laws in favor of rights) or an oligarchy (ruled by elite few such as big corporations or political parties).
